Miniaturized devices and complex design features with advanced materials have been in demand in recent years.
These demands can be addressed through Precision Micro and Nano Engineering. Innovative manufacturing
methods, modeling, characterization and testing are required for producing these miniaturized
products/components. Moreover, such innovation should embraces and complement the recent trend of
intelligence in manufacturing-popularly know as industry 4.0 or smart manufacturing.
The COPEN conference continues to grow as a platform where industry and academic professionals and
researchers gather to connect with the pace of innovation in manufacturing technology.
The objective of the conference COPEN 11 is to provide a common platform for specialists working in
Precision, Meso, Micro, Nano Engineering, and Smart Manufacturing in industries, academic institutions and
in R&D organizations, to come together for interaction and exchange of their ideas and findings. The conference
also aims at networking of participating institutes/organizations/industries to systematically confront challenges in
mutual areas of interest to the advance manufacturing technology in these areas.
